| A new society has formed to show us painting. (...) This Folle Enchère company is made up of lovers of modern art. It has statutes of which I have nothing to say, and a regulation which does not seem very viable to me; this exhibition was to be followed, in fact, by an auction, which could have been fun, meaningful and, perhaps, perilous, and this part of the program is already abandoned. In reality, what I will criticize this small group, whose exhibition takes place rue de la Ville-l'Evèque, is its shyness, its lack of imagination. (....)
