| The exhibition which brought together paintings and drawings at the Rosenberg Gallery offered the great interest of giving an idea of ??the talent of this artist in what is most significant. Girieud has a very deep and very sensitive sense of decoration, calm, serenity in his compositions, something definitive in the harmony of the lines with in addition a magnificence, a richness, a sumptuousness, which add to the power of the decoration. Nothing in him is narrow or formal. On the contrary, it is broad and free. We spoke the other day of the important order made by the city of Marseille to this painter. When we saw this exhibition we better understand this wise choice.
