| Are you curious about my impressions of the Salon d'Automne? (...) I admired (...) the compositions of Pierre Girieud. The beautiful painter. There is in one of his paintings, a group formed by three women who seduced my eyes. I like the poses, the modeling, the color. They stand, framed by secondary groups, in a Provencal landscape: hills, pines, olive trees and the sea. All this of the most beautiful style. (...) |
