| Before the war credits had been voted for the execution of frescoes intended to decorate the Faculty of Sciences of Marseille.
The order of these frescoes was made to three artists: Girieud, Lombard and Lafitte, who had already presented models and executed the design of these frescoes.
But the prices are no longer those of before the war. The credits voted in 1914 are absolutely inadequate and up to now we have not wanted to increase them. We hope that the agreement will be made so that these frescoes, which are very beautiful, can be executed. |
