| Homage to Paul Arène, by Girieud - This is one of the most remarkable paintings of the Salon d'automne. In the magnificent stylized landscape of Sisteron, at the edge of the city fountain, located by the painter in the open field, we see, on the right, the Seated Storyteller, having behind him the Provençal Muse which inspires him and, all around, the Muses and their characters. It could be that this composition was painted with fresco in one of the buildings of Sisteron.
