With us Girieud embodies the Mediterranean spirit: reflection and studied rhythm. From his beginnings he enrolled as a disciple of Gauguin, and if he shared his desires for grandeur, his pictorial language was more severe. It aims at vast syntheses in classical order and measure. The sumptuousness of his paintings of flowers, the abandonment of his nudes are calculated. Unfortunately, the retrospective of the Salon cannot give an idea of ??the decorative meaning it displayed in various buildings such as the town hall of Ivry.
