| Berthe Weil opened a small shop on rue Victor Massé thirty years ago to sell paintings by young painters. The first to whom it lent its walls were artists of which nobody spoke, their names Picasso, Matisse, van Dongen .... the whole beautiful team. (...) And on Sunday, there was a big party to celebrate these thirty years of painting. In the afternoon, children's morning. All the children of the painters gorged themselves on cakes and danced in frenzied circles. Girieud's son as a Greek child, Keyser's daughter and many other little fellows and little good women had fun with everything. In the evening it was the parents' turn. Costume ball. (...)
