French art exhibition in Belgrade -
A major exhibition of French art opened on December 11 in Belgrade in the presence of Prince Paul of Yugoslavia, at the Art Pavilion in Kalemegdan Park. All the tendencies of our art were represented there: Mr. Louis Hautecoeur, curator of the Musée du Luxembourg had organized the painting and sculpture sections, and had been able to gather the names of many painters, such as Asselin, Albert Besnard, Brianchon, Paul Chabas, Charlemagne, Dauchez, Maurice Denis, Derain, Friesz, Girieud, Gromaire, Laprade, the Laurens brothers, Lhote, Henri-Matisse, Signac, Lucien Simon, Suzanne Valadon, Vlaminck, and sculptors Bouchard, Bourdelle, Despiau, Gimond, Lamourdedieu, Landowski, Maillol, etc (....) |
